TIPS ON PURCHASING GOLD JEWELLERY
Consumers, here are some tips to help you to choose
wisely when purchasing Gold Jewellery.
-
Purchase gold jewellery with the manufacturers name, trademark or
identification mark. This must be marked on the article or attached with
a label (if the article is too small to be marked).
-
The
pure gold content of the article must be stated on the article or attached
with a label. e.g. 12k, 18 k or 22 k.
-
Certified gold jewellery is of an acceptable quality.
In order to identify certified gold articles, look for the
Standards Mark in addition to the above markings.

The standards mark provides third party assurance to consumers that they
will receive quality jewellery for the given price.
-
Ensure that you receive a proper receipt
acknowledging your purchase
